Here’s a little science lesson on light therapy (with a little history thrown in!): NASA scientists first utilized the power of LED (light-emitting diode) photo light technology to stimulate plant growth on the Space Station. The lack of gravity in space keeps cells from growing naturally, resulting in slow growing plant life. NASA found near-infrared photo light emitted by LEDs increased energy produced in the mitochondria (energy compartments) of each cell, which allowed plants to grow. A lack of gravity also leads to loss of bone mass, atrophied muscles and wounds that do not heal properly.
NASA researchers further discovered that LED light exerted similar physiological effects on human cells, just as they did on plant cells up in space. They are, after all, rocket scientists!

The promise of LED technology – also referred to as phototherapy – prompted researchers to begin applying LED light technology (now commonly referred to as light therapy) to skin ulcers, burns, and cancer. Scientists, clinicians and doctors began to offer light treatments to their patients. Fast forward a few years, and estheticians now offer similar light therapy to their clients, using ANSR: products.

Researchers determined that longer wavelengths penetrate tissues more deeply without the potentially damaging heat that high-powered lasers produced. Domestic and international studies regarding phototherapy for healing are bearing out the positive results that NASA scientists initially discovered.

Medical clinics have utilized treatments incorporating light therapy for the treatment of wrinkles, acne, and a host of other skin conditions for years. These costly, yet effective, treatments demanded repeat visits to clinics, which makes long-term treatment difficult to afford for most. And with the advent of ANSR: light therapy products, these treatments can be sustained at home, affordably.

ANSR: has developed safe, low-powered, handheld, blue and red light therapy beauty products, safe for daily use — bringing the scientific advances of rocket scientists to people on earth, at a fraction of the price.
